Southampton are eyeing a move for Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho, as they look to replace Chelsea target Virgil Van Dijk.
Van Dijk is valued at £50 million by the Saints and they expect a flurry of bids from elite clubs, with the Blues in pole position. As a result, the Saints have put contingency plans in place should the 25-year-old leave, with Sakho, currently on loan at Crystal Palace, a key target.
