Rooney has reached the end at Man Utd

Getty Images 0 Another evening on the bench at Manchester United has put “the final nail in the coffin” for Wayne Rooney at Old Trafford, says Roy Keane. The Red Devils’ club captain was included in Jose Mourinho’s matchday squad for a Europa League clash with Anderlecht on Thursday. He was, however, to see no minutes as Anthony Martial was thrown on in place of Zlatan Ibrahimovic once the talismanic Swede picked up an injury. With Rooney now seemingly little more than a squad player, United legend Keane expects him to move on at the end of the season. He told  ITV : "In terms of the bigger picture I’d have thought that’s the end of Wayne at Manchester United. "He will obviously contribute until the end of the season because of injuries. Getty Images 0 The Swede's injury appeared to be severe, but the left-back is optimistic his team-mate won't be out long Alarm bells were ringing when Zlatan Ibrahimovic went down with a gruesome-looking knee injury Thursday, but his team-mate Luke Shaw says the Swede was walking around the changing room after the match. Manchester United's top scorer on the season landed awkwardly near the end of regulation in the Europa League quarter-final second leg against Anderlecht. The 35-year-old limped off the pitch and manager Jose Mourinho said after the game that he thought the news was "  fairly negative  ." However, Luke Shaw was much more optimistic, telling reporters: "He's fine. He was walking around in the changing room." Marcus Rashford went on to score an extra-time winner for United, who advanced to the semi-final with a 3-2 aggregate success. Ibrahimovic has scored 28 goals in all competitions this season
